ASUA open to discuss eval proposal

Editor:

The end of the road is in sight. I have spent the year researching and publicizing the desire of student government to publicize instructor/course evaluations. Last week a major milestone was reached. The proposal to publish instructor/course evaluations unanimously passed the Instructional Course and Policy Committee. This means that the path to the faculty senate is now clear. However, when they passed the proposal unanimously it was with the realization that most of the general faculty does not sit on the faculty senate and may not be familiar with the policy. There is a solution to this problem. I am making myself available to the general faculty. You are encouraged to voice your concerns regarding the proposal to publish instructor/course evaluations. If any member of the general faculty or the student body wishes to discuss this issue they are encouraged to contact the Chief-of-Staff, Kimberly Montanaro at 621-ASUA. I would be happy to sit down with anyone to go over the proposal and listen to their concerns.

ASUA Chief-of-Staff
