A UA employee was threatened by a man holding a foot-long knife Wednesday afternoon as she was entering her car parked in Lot 4065 at the corner of East Fourth Street and North Tyndall Avenue.

At 4:32 p.m., the victim reportedly heard a male behind her say something and then felt a tug on her purse. She turned around to find the man holding a foot-long, nickel-plated knife about one foot away from her torso.

Police reports indicate the victim screamed and ran around the car. The suspect fled northbound on foot through the Geronimoz parking lot. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

University police are searching for this man. He is described as a Caucasian male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, between 19 and 23 years of age. He has blond hair and light-colored eyes.

Anyone with information on this individual should call the UA police at 621-UAPD.
