'Wildcat' comics a treat, quality strips

Editor:

I've attended a few colleges in my day, and all of them had newspapers and a comics page. Generally, if a campus paper had even a single strip where the characters had recognizable body parts and the punch lines didn't make me feel embarrassed for the writer, I felt lucky. So what's up with the Daily Wildcat's comics, then? On a bad day there are five out of six strips that are not only well drawn, but pretty hilarious, too. It's been a real treat to turn to the last page of the Wildcat each day and know that there's a full page of quality (read, "better than all but a few in the Star or Citizen") comics yet to go. Thanks to the artists for a great year; I hope not all of you are graduating (or if you are, that you syndicate).
