Call out the National Guard! Someone got upset and said something offensive!

Come on, MEChA. Are you serious? I find it hard to accept that this should cause such a stir as to prompt days of protesting. From what was reported in the Wildcat, this altercation came as a result of two "kids" getting a little miffed in an intramural game. Childish, yes, but nonetheless an occasional occurrence in sports; emotions run high and fierce, and things that shouldn't be said usually are.

Intramural officials cannot confirm that the incident even happened. I'll be the first to admit that racism is a terrible thing, but this overreaction by MEChA is downright ridiculous.

The two people involved should be adults and settle this between themselves. It's time we all grow up a bit.
