  • In conjunction with Multi-Cultural Week the Center for Middle Eastern Studies presents Bethany Fitch, Near Eastern Studies graduate student, to speak on "Living History: Muslim and Christian Life in Cairo" in the Franklin Building Room 204 from noon until 1 p.m.

  • The English Undergraduate Club and Dr. Kari McBride present "Dreamworld: Desire, Sex Power in Rock Video" in Modern Languages Room 410 at 6 p.m.

    The film is a documentary about the representation and depiction of women in rock videos. It focuses on the use and effects of sexual imagery presented by the rock and roll industry in contemporary society.

  • Dr. Erwin Montgomery, associate professor of neurobiology and one of the nation's leading researchers of Parkinson's disease, discusses the impact of Parkinson's disease on health and health Care costs, at the Faculty Community Lecture in the College of Pharmacy Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.

  • The Newman Center presents "How Religion Affects Our Culture: A Chicano Perspective, " as part of its interactive speakers series on race issues, led by Salomon Baldenegro at the Newman Center, 2nd Street and Cherry Ave. at 7:30 p.m.

    Baldenegro is the assistant dean of Chicano/Hispano Student Affairs and founder of the Mexican-American Student Association at the UA in 1967 and of M.E.Ch.A. in 1969.

  • The Memorial Student Union's Gallagher Theatre shows "Mars Attacks" at 7:30 p.m. and 9:35 p.m. Admission is $2.50.
