• The UA Library offers a free workshop on Creating Web Pages: Beyond the Basics in the Main Library Room A315 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The workshop cover how to use colors, maps and tables. The workshop is designed for users who have attended the create-your-own homepage workshop.

• Career Services is offering a free workshop on resume writing from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Students are required to check in at the Career Services reception desk in the lower level of Old Main.

  The workshop discusses resume formats and how to make works experiences stand out. Writing a cover sheet and including references will also be discussed.

• The Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium presents "The Comets are Coming," an exploration into the nature and origin of comets at 7:30 p.m. A laser light show features music from Nirvana and Pearl Jam at 8:30 p.m. For ticket prices call 621-STAR.

• The Committee on Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual Studies host the second "Sex and Scholarship Symposium," in the Center for English as a Second Language Room 103 at 6:30 p.m.
