A male UA student was referred to the Dean of Students diversion program Wednesday after a female student alleged that the man sexually abused her in McClelland Hall earlier last week, university police reports stated.

The 40-year-old woman told police that the 27-year-old man, whom she knew from classes they attended together, met her March 17 in a computer lab at McClelland, 1130 E. Helen St. After the meeting, the man accompanied the woman into a stairwell where he allegedly grabbed her briefcase and pushed her against a railing, police reports stated.

The man then "put his tongue in my mouth, on my neck, felt my body and breasts with his hands and tried to push me back against the rail to thrust himself into me," the woman wrote in a statement given to university police.

The woman told police she kept telling the man to stop and tried to push the man away, but he did not release her until he hesitated, allowing her to open the door and get out into the hallway, police reports stated.

Detectives spoke to the man last week and he explained to police that he attempted to kiss the woman and thought the desire to become involved was mutual, police reports stated. He told police he put his hands on the woman's shoulders but did not touch her breasts or fondle her in any way.

The man denied that the woman had to push him away, but did say he understood how his actions may have been misinterpreted, police reports stated.

Detectives determined that the man's actions were reckless because they put the woman in a situation where she felt she may have been harmed - a violation of the University of Arizona Code of Conduct. No criminal charges were pursued.

A 27-year-old Tucson man admitted to performing oral sex on another man in a fourth-floor restroom of the Main Library March 15 after someone reported seeing the men performing the act and exposing their genitalia in a stall.

The person who reported the incident told police at about 3 p.m. that one of the men left the restroom before police arrived but the second man was still in the stall. After the witness identified the man by seeing his white tennis shoes under the stall door, police took the man outside the restroom and questioned him, police reports stated.

At first, the man said he was alone and did not engage in the sex act. However, he gave officers an address and phone number that were later discovered to be false, police reports stated.

After further questioning, the man told officers that as he was using the restroom, the second man stood in front of the stall door. The man then opened the stall door and "performed oral sex on the man for about two minutes," he told police. The second man then left the restroom, police reports stated.

Police could not locate the person who reported the incident to press charges. Officers warned the man against criminal trespassing and escorted him to his car.

A Tucson man reported that his red Ford Aerostar van was vandalized with hair styling products March 17 after an altercation over a parking space south of Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth St.

The man said he was driving his van into a parking space about 11:45 p.m. the previous night when a red Honda Prelude driven by an unknown man also tried to take the space. After parking the van, the man heard a female passenger in the Prelude say, "What an asshole," as the car drove off, police reports stated.

About 40 minutes later, the van's owner said he was standing south of Arizona-Sonora when he saw a man standing near the van. The man then got into the same Honda Prelude and drove away, police reports stated.

The owner looked at his van and found what appeared to be "hairspray or mousse or something like that" on the left front quarter-panel of the van, police reports stated. The owner wiped off the substance and there was no visible damage to the vehicle, reports stated.
