UAPD thanks university community for peaceful basketball celebration

We wanted to thank our university community, particularly the UA students, for setting a new national standard in celebrating the recent NCAA basketball victory. Following our win in Indianapolis, the majority of our students and community celebrated responsibly. Despite the problems generated by a minority of fans outside the campus late on Monday night, the vast majority of our students and Tucson residents celebrated with civility and respect.

Speaking on behalf of the University of Arizona Police Department, the Tucson Police Department, and the other Pima County law enforcement agencies, thanks for your cooperation on this great occasion.
