Letter on masturbation shows a 'blatant disregard' for simple logic

Editor:

What evil lurks in the hearts of those who masturbate? Who knows? Maybe the Shadow knows - I certainly doubt that Jeremy Loverich has much of a clue. But then, with his stunning display of how the self-righteous assumption that one's own opinions of morality are universal can utterly overthrow logic in the battleground of one's brain, I doubt that Jeremy has much of a clue about anything which requires even a minor application of logic skills.

And now for some self-righteousness of my own - I find such blatant disregard for logic an offense to humanity. Aren't we supposed to be one of the intelligent species?

I would hope that if someone wrote in, raving on about how chocolate-eaters shamelessly indulged their taste buds while ignoring the higher purpose of eating (namely, to nourish the body) and concluded that they (the chocolate-eating hussies) were just walking taste buds and hence had no respect for themselves or others, that most of the readers of such a nut case's article would notice the blatant exclusion of logic in such an argument. Unfortunately, many readers when reading a completely absurd article on something such as masturbation or homosexuality will let their own views of morality shut down their logic circuits.

If the frightening and repulsive disregard for logic and intelligence in Jeremy Loverich's article on masturbation didn't blow your mind, then maybe you don't have enough of a mind to blow. If that is indeed the case, then take a course or two in logic - maybe it will help.
