The proposed terms of Peter Likins' appointment and compensation package:

• Annual salary of $195,000
• Annual deferred compensation in the amount of $35,100
• Same fringe benefits as all other UA administrators, including, but not limited to medical benefits, sick leave, vacation, and retirement
• Appointment to a tenured faculty position as professor of engineering
• Annual automobile allowance of $8,394
• Reimbursement for moving and travel expenses
• An initial appointment period of two years and nine months from October 1, 1997 through June 30, 2000
