Fact of the Day

The first modern calendar was put into use in 45 B.C. by Julius Caesar who decreed that there should be three years of 365 days and then one year of 366 days in a perpetual cycle. This became known as the Julian calendar and began the custom of adding one day to the month of February every fourth year- known as leap year.
