Women's golf team continue to dominate Pac-10 Championships

Only a Greg Norman-like collapse can keep the Arizona women's golf team from repeating as Pacific 10 Conference champion. The Wildcats are punishing the field by a whopping 12 strokes at the 12th annual Pac-10 Conference Women's Golf Championships at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. The Wildcats followed their first round two-over par 290 with a three-under par 285 for a two day total of one-under par 575. Arizona State is in second place at 11-over par 587, followed by Southern California in third at 26-over par 602. Washington and Oregon round at the top five at 32-over par 608 and 34-over par 610 respectively.

UA sophomore Jenna Daniels continues to impress with her stellar play. Daniels fired a four-under par 68 in the second round, lowering her women's record at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club for the second time in as many days. Daniels now leads the tournament by seven strokes over her teammate, UA senior Heather Graff, who shot two-under par 70 and a two round total of even-par 144. Wildcat junior Krissie Register and sophomore Jill Gomric are tied for fifth place, 10 strokes back of Daniels, at three-over par 147. The final Arizona golfer is junior Marisa Baena. She is tied for 21st place at nine-over-par 153.

The 54-hole tournament concludes today with tee times beginning at 8:06 M.S.T.
