The 1997 Rolex Fall Preview kicks off today for the women's golf team at Wisconsin's University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wis. Nine of the Top 10 nationally ranked teams will be competing, including the second-ranked Wildcats.

The Fall Preview is the premiere event of the fall women's schedule. The NCAA Championships will be held on the same course in late May.

Arizona returns its entire lineup, led by the nation's top-ranked player, Marisa Baena - 1996 NCAA Champion and two-time winner of the Rolex/Eleanor Dudley College Player of the Year Award.

Joining Baena are Heather Graff and Krissie Register, the nucleus that won the NCAA title in 1996, as well as sophomores Shannon Ingalls and Jenna Daniels.

Briefly

The men's club water polo team travels today to Southern California for the Hillman Tournament at Whittier College.

Led by co-captains senior Jonathan Lewis and junior Bryan Kimbell, the Wildcats will face tough Division I competition, including Loyola Marymount University.

"This tournament will be a true character builder for our program," head coach Michael Wissot said. "A successful performance in Whittier will set a good pace for the rest of the season."

The team finished last season ranked No. 2 in the nation with an overall record of 11-1 and 8-0 in the Southwest Conference of the Collegiate Water Polo Association.

The men's club soccer team travels to El Paso this weekend for two matches.

Tomorrow, the Wildcats play UTEP at 2 p.m. and on Sunday morning the team plays Sellecion Juarez at 10.
