University police arrested a 35-year-old Tucson woman on liquor charges Friday after they saw her 1995 Jeep Wrangler going south on North Campbell Avenue from East Elm Street.

Officers stopped Teresita Meilleur of the 200 block of South Kolb Road near East Speedway Boulevard and North Campbell Avenue at about 3 a.m. after they paced her vehicle's speed at 58 mph, police reports stated.

Officers reportedly smelled alcohol on Meilleur's breath and she later told officers, "I ain't got a license." She added she could not find her insurance card, police reports stated.

Meilleur's words were reportedly slurred and mumbled and she officers "I'm drinking Pepsi," police reports stated.

Meilleur refused field sobriety tests by telling officers, "No, screw you ... you hurt me," police reports stated.

As officers tried to handcuff Meilleur she reportedly began yelling, "I didn't do anything."

A background check revealed Meilleur's license was suspended in 1996 for drunken driving.

She was taken to UAPD were she refused to answer any questions adding, "I'm not answering. You hurt me. You're an asshole," police reports stated.

Meilleur was arrested on aggravated drunken driving charges and taken to Pima Country Jail.


University police arrested a 45-year-old Tucson man Monday after officers pulled over his 1985 Subaru that had broken tail and brake lights.

Officers saw a car driven by Larfayette Cotton, of the 1600 block of West Deacon, just after 8 p.m. going east in the 1600 block of East Speedway, police reports stated.

Officers stopped Cotton and he reportedly said his name was Richard Cotton and gave them a social security number.

According to police reports, Cotton said the last number on his social security number was two different numbers and gave officers two different birth dates.

Officers asked Cotton to get out of the car and he gave them permission to search the car, police reports stated.

He reportedly told officers he wanted to "come clean" and gave his real name, adding he had lied to officers about his identity because he did not want to get an insurance ticket, police reports stated.

Officers found Cotton's driver's license in the Subaru's console and also found the registration proving he owned the Subaru, police reports stated.

Cotton was cited for giving false information to police, failing to produce evidence upon demand and not having insurance or brake lights required for his car. He was released at the scene.


University police arrested two students Thursday after officers responded to Apache-Santa Cruz Residence Hall because of a fight.

Patrick Lee, 20, of the 2100 block of North Silverbell Road, and Nicholas Fleury, 18, of the 1400 block of East Fifth Street, were cited in connection with a 10:50 p.m. fight after officers arrived and heard conflicting stories about what had happened.

Officers were flagged down by a female student who told them she was waiting for Fleury when Lee and two other men approached her, police reports stated.

Lee reportedly said, "Fuck, who's this? She's looking fine," as he and the others walked passed the girl.

She said they walked around her and continued to talk to her, police reports stated.

The student told officers that Fleury came out of the building and she told him that the group had been sexually harassing her, police reports stated.

When Fleury and the girl started to walk away, Lee reportedly said something under his breath and the two did not hear what it was.

According to police reports, Fleury then threw a water bottle at Lee and the two began to fight. Officers spoke to both men and received conflicting stories about who started the fight, police reports stated.

Fleury and Lee were cited and released at the scene.


A male student called university police Thursday after finding his Trek 820 Antelope mountain bike missing.

He told officers he parked and locked the bike to a rack near the Main Library snack bar, 1510 E. University Blvd., at 7 p.m., police reports stated.

When he returned at 10:15 p.m. the bike and U-lock were missing, police reports stated.

The value of the bike and lock were unknown.
