Clarifications

Although many Asian currencies have lost value during the recent economic crisis there, Indonesian currency depreciated 400 percent in relation to the U.S. dollar as of Tuesday. A Page One article yesterday ("UA officials said yesterday the university has no plan to help") used the figure ambiguously. In the same article, the Immigration and Naturalization Services program that allows some international students to work in the United States was misidentified. The program is called Economic Hardship. Students affected by the financial crisis can contact the Center for Global Student Programs for assistance.

A July 23 article ("Bullets abruptly end fraternity party" ) in the Arizona Summer Wildcat failed to mention that the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity in the story is recognized by neither its national corporation nor the University of Arizona.
