1998 warmest year of twentieth century, UA researcher says
If you think it's getting hotter - it is. A University of Arizona scientist found that the 1990's was the hottest decade recorded so far this millennium, and there's no cooling trend in sight. "I think that it is a sense of precaution that the earth is getting warmer for the next few decades," said Malcolm Hughes, the UA's Laboratory of Tree Ring Research director.






Price leads Laxcats to 2 wins
The Price was right for the UA Laxcats this weekend as senior attackman Dan Price led Arizona to convincing wins over UCLA and Chapman. Price's five first-quarter goals helped Arizona (4-5) stop a four-game losing streak by defeating the Bruins Saturday 16-10. Price, who finished the game with seven goals, was the key player in running the offense. Head coach Mickey-Miles Felton said Price is the offense's leader.






On Wisconsin!
My favorite local band, Big Bottom, does a tune called 'Wisconsin: Land of Cheese' and I've got the XXXL T-shirts to prove that the state is a land of cheese and, additionally, meat and beer. There are studies that put Wisconsin at the top, or the bottom, of the nation's obesity rates, depending on your perspective.
