The UA swimming and diving teams will be in action this weekend at the Hillenbrand Aquatic Center, with the Arizona Diving Invitational beginning today and continuing through Sunday.

The swimmers go up against the ranked Auburn Tigers tomorrow afternoon at 1.

Arizona divers will compete against Arizona State, Northern Arizona, Auburn and a host of other teams from throughout the state.

UA diving coach Michele Mitchell-Rocha expects a good match and looks for sophomore Lindsay Berryman, senior Angelique Rodriguez and junior Andrea Glass to perform well for the women's team.

"On our women's side there are a couple of divers to keep an eye on," Mitchell-Rocha said. "Lindsay Berryman is a transfer from Auburn and she's been diving great all year, Angelique Rodriguez has some new dives she is going to attempt, and Andrea Glass you can always count on in a tough, competitive environment.

"We have some good male divers such as Danny Zimmerman and Arno Bergstrom. He's (Bergstrom) one of the most competitive people I know."

Tomorrow the Wildcat swimming teams will play host to the visiting Auburn Tigers in a non-conference meet. The Wildcat men's team is currently ranked No. 7 in the nation while the women are ranked No. 3. The Wildcats will face stiff competition from Auburn, whose men enter the meet ranked No. 3, while the women are No. 6.

"This should be a good meet," swimming head coach Frank Busch said. "Auburn's a tough team."

The Arizona Diving Invitational begins this morning at 10 with preliminary competition, and the finals will take place at 3 p.m. tomorrow. The 10-meter platform competition will kick off on Sunday at 10 a.m.
