Support gays and lesbians in Arizona public schools
To the editor,
As an alumnus of this university, I sure hope that students, in the spirit of goodwill and human understanding, will speak out against the proposed state legislation that would ban support groups for gay and lesbian students in Arizona's public schools. Such intolerance should not go unchallenged by citizens of an institution of higher learning, especially when we live in a world where gay people are subjected to blatant and prevalent verbal and physical abuse.
