Someone made off with $1,500 in change and small bills from 11 campus snack machines this month, police records stated.

Tomdra Inc., which handles all campus vending, reported $1,575.30 stolen and $600 in machine damage Jan. 13 to the University of Arizona Police Department.

University of Arizona Police Department officers are not yet investigating and have no suspects, detective Rolf Averill said.

"If another report is filed, we will do some type of investigation," he said.

Two of the machines hit were inside the Flandrau Science Center, 1601 E. University Blvd. The machines are kept in an employee's office for private use only.

Four machines at the Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., one in the Math building, 617 N. Santa Rita Ave. and two snack dispensers at the Veterinary Sciences building, 1117 E. Lowell St., were also robbed.

Tomdra Inc., 4517 N. Pomona Ave., is looking into new and more advanced security systems, said Ray Olvera, a vending service department supervisor.
