Senate passes university staff whistle-blower protection

The Arizona Senate yesterday voted 18-11 to pass a bill that might protect university employees who expose institutional corruption and could possibly encourage more employees to be whistle-blowers.
"See what it takes to be a whistle-blower," said Sen. David Petersen, R-Mesa, urging his colleagues to remove the hurdles whistle-blowers face.

Bonvicini finalist for Coach of the Year

UA women's basketball head coach Joan Bonvicini was named Sunday as one of 15 finalists for the Naismith College Basketball Coach of the Year Award, but she chalked it up to merely being a reflection of her players and assistant coaches.
Under Bonvicini this season, the Wildcats are off to their best start in school history (21-5 overall, 10-4 Pacific 10) and are currently No. 16 in the coaches' poll.

In this day and age, American opinions of weakened morals and personal fortitude are common elements of political mudslinging. Live365.com, a Web site devoted to the creation and broadcasting of MP3 music files, has found its place within the music community, ushering in what some believe to be the future of internet music.
Currently the only Web site on the Internet that allows members to broadcast their own music, Live365.com has created year-round personal radio stations for listeners.
Already, the Web site has over a hundred such stations.
