Are you experiencing symptoms of psychological distress? Do you have medical problems you believe are stress related? Johrei and Mindfulness Meditation are being evaluated as innovative approaches to mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. The Department of Psychology, Counseling and Psychological Services of Campus Health and the Program in Integrative Medicine is offering an opportunity to participate in research. Presented by the Biomedical Engineering Faculty and Students, a seminar introducing the Biomedical Engineering Program will take place today at 3 p.m. in the Chemistry and Biological Sciences building, Room 218. This seminar will describe the graduate program (including graduate minors) in Biomed, as well as admission requirements, prerequisites and undergraduate classes available in Biomedical Engineering. In honor of Women's History Month, an exhibit showcasing women's studies faculty will be on display starting today at the UA Main Library lobby. Donita Vanture can answer any questions about the exhibit at 621-7338.

Thomas Pannabecker, Ph.D. of the UA Department of Physiology will present a Physiology seminar series on "Transport Physiology and Nephron Structure of the Renal Inner Medulla." Middle eastern studies in conjunction with the Department of Anthropology and the Department of Linguistics will present, "Sociolinguistics Panel: Codeswitching and Persian and Arabic Contexts," "Codeswitching: Motivations and Mechanisms," and "Codeswitching: Tunisian Identity as Linguistics Practice." These lectures will take place in the Franklin building, Room 204 from 2-5 p.m. A reception will also follow from 5-6 p.m. Anne Bennett can answer any questions at 621-8079.
