Dreams of law school dancing in your head? Think you have what it takes to be a lawyer? Get the inside track this afternoon, at the UA College of Law. The college is holding a general information meeting about the admissions process today at noon. Anyone with an interest is invited to attend. The seminar is expected to last around 1 hour and is being held in the College of Law building in Room 203. For those who do not know where the College of Law is located, it happens to be on East Speedway Boulevard, placed directly west of the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering building. On the 22nd anniversary of his assassination, the College of Humanities and the African Studies Program are hosting a film presentation of Steve Biko, titled "Biko: Breaking the Silence." Being held in the UA Memorial Student Union's Senior Ballroom, the film is being shown at 5 p.m. and should last until 7 p.m. Expected speakers are Julian Kunnie, acting director of Africana Studies and Colette M. Sims, a current instructor in the department. Everyone is invited to the film, and those with questions can call Chantele Carr at 621-5665.

You will never see mute people in the same light again. Tonight, Patrick Baliani will perform readings from his "Monologue of a Muted Man" at 5:30 p.m. in the Center for Creative Photography. Baliani, performing in sign language, received awards at the 1998 National Play Award and the 1999 Arizona Commission on the Arts Playwriting Fellowship. The reading will be related to current exhibits on display at the Center, which is located just north of Harvill. Call CCP at 621-7968 if you want more information.

Not very good at getting into tiffs with others? The fall leadership workshop series is holding a Conflict Management workshop today at 3 p.m. that will last until 5 p.m. The workshop is one of many, and they all are free. All that is required is that you register ahead of time. The workshop is designed to help you deal with dealing with others without conflict. It is being held in the Memorial Student Union Room 256.
