Want to have a sit down breakfast with one of your professors and find out exactly what they are all about? Here is your chance, because the Office of Student Programs is offering an invitation breakfast on October 6 for students to invite the professor of their choice and have a meal with them. Meal times are at 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., and the deadline to R.S.V.P. is September 29. Call the Office of Student Programs at 621-7597 or stop by their office in the Memorial Student Union today. The meal is informal and completely complimentary, so make sure to act soon, because spots fill up quickly.

The National Pan-Hellenic Council, NPHC, is hosting an informational seminar today from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on the historically African American fraternities and sororities. They will present info about the various organizations, and present ways to join one of the groups. It is taking place in the Senior Ballroom of the Memorial Student Union. Call the NPHC President, Carlton Allen, at 621-8064 if you have any questions.

Catch an inexpensive movie on campus tonight and avoid paying high prices at the larger movie theaters. The Social Sciences version of Gallagher continues tonight as Brendan Fraser and company star in "The Mummy." If watching the Discovery channel is just not enough historic info, "The Mummy" takes excavation to new levels, just like "Raiders of the Lost Ark" accomplished before it. "The Mummy" takes place tonight at 7 p.m. and 9:20 p.m. in the auditorium of the Social Sciences building, room 100. Tickets will run students $2.50. Make sure you arrive early.

Tomorrow is your chance to do good for your community. The Walk to Cure Diabetes, lasting all morning on Saturday, is a great chance for you to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. The JDF is an organization motivated to helping cure diabetic children throughout the world. The walk will take place around the UA Mall and Old Main, with the path taking walkers around Old Main, down around the Cactus Garden and back again. All money raised will be used to fund research to find a cure for diabetes. So grab your pledge sheets and get ready to make your donations. Sign-ups begin at 8 a.m. and the walk kicks off at 9 a.m. It is sponsored by the El Dorado Hospital. Prizes are available for funds raised, such as T-shirts, backpacks and gift certificates. Give the Juvenile Diabetic Foundation a call at 1-800-454-5822 for more information.

Music on the UA Mall is still happening today as it does every Friday with Groovin On The Grass. Presented by Eat to the Beat, who provides us with many tunes throughout the year, Groovin on the Grass gives local talent a chance to showcase their skills in front of a sympathetic college audience. Today's band is Degrees Plato, and they will be playing at noon for approximately one hour. Call William Guth at 621-1111 if you would like any more information.
