American Indian group plans to protest ceremony
[news] A UA student and other American Indian Movement supporters from Phoenix said an unqualified former UA professor is killing a sacred, religious ceremony by charging money for people to attend. Members of AIM plan to protest at Lewis Mehl-Madrona's workshop this weekend and the purification ceremony, called a sweat lodge, to deter him from practicing the religious act.

Wildcats looking to repeat magic against Washington

Two teams, the Washington Huskies and the Arizona Wildcats, will take the field tomorrow, one with destiny on their side, another with their hopes pinned on Pac-10 team losses and three consecutive wins. Editorial: Football program makes unethical behavior norm
[news] Too often, athleticism is glorified to the point that it becomes devoid of ethics. Too often has University of Arizona football coach Dick Tomey let repulsive behavior among his team members slide, allowing the football team to be held at a lower standard of conduct. This year alone, at least two incidents of misconduct have taken place. One was the CatCard scandal, during which football players felt it would be amusing to steal $1 bills from CatCard employees

Confidence lacks in 'House on Haunted Hill'

"The House on Haunted Hill" is a mixed bag of tricks. A lot of time and energy were spent making this movie a scary experience for the audience - and scary it is. Unfortunately, some of the most disturbing parts were obviously created unintentionally. Haunted Hill's first big trick was to dupe Academy Award winner Geoffrey Rush ("Shine") into taking the lead role.
