Talk about this story

Police arrested a man late Thursday morning after a report of a fight at a university building.

The fight occurred at about 11:20 a.m. at Fast Copy in the Memorial Student Union, 1303 E. University Blvd.

A student working at the copy center was approached by Blake Higa, 27, of the 1500 block of North Euclid Avenue, while he was working.

The student said Higa was speaking aggressively and demanded to speak with him, reports stated.

The student took off his name tag and apron and went away from the counter to speak with Higa, reports stated.

The student told police that Higa was getting in his face, so he pushed him twice, reports stated.

Higa then hit him on the left side of his face. The student pushed Higa into a locker and hit him twice, reports stated.

Employees at Fast Copy stopped the fight and waited for the UAPD to arrive.

Police cited Higa on suspicion of assault and interfering with an educational institution.

Higa was released and warned against going to the copy center unless he has an educational or other legitimate reason.
