A University of Arizona student called university police Monday after she discovered her belongings were stolen from a locker in the Student Recreation Center, police reports stated.

The student called police at about 5 p.m. after she returned to the locker in the women's locker room at the recreation center, 1400 E. Sixth St., and found the items missing.

She told the officer that she was in an abdominal aerobics class from 4:15 to 4:30 p.m. when her items were stolen from the locker, reports stated.

According to reports, the woman said she couldn't remember what locker number she left her stuff in, and she didn't lock the locker.

Her backpack, CatCard, keys and $140 in miscellaneous clothing were stolen.


Police responded Monday to a UA employee's call about a stolen computer part, reports stated.

The employee called from his room at about 3:30 p.m. in the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences building, 1118 E. Fourth St., and told police the part was taken sometime between 1:30 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday.

The man said one of his computers wasn't working, so he took the case off to see what the problem was.

When he took the case off, he noticed a computer card that holds random-access memory was missing, reports stated.

The employee told police the Gateway 64-megabyte memory card was taken while the computer was in use in another room in the building.

He didn't know who used the computer last.


A UA student called UAPD Monday after someone broke into her car and stole items from it, reports stated.

The student said she and a friend parked her 1993 Saturn in a lot at 1151 N. Vine Ave. at about 8 a.m., and when she returned at 10:41, her driver's side window was shattered and items were missing.

She said she put her purse in the trunk when she left, and it was gone when she returned.

Along with the purse, her Kenwood compact disc player valued at an estimated $350, wallet and credit cards were stolen, reports stated.

Her dashboard near the stereo casing was also damaged.

Police found no prints on the car.


Police went to a CatCard machine Monday after a UA employee called to inform police the machine had been broken into, reports stated.

The employee called UAPD and told them the machine at 1140 E. Fifth St., was missing its Medico lock.

The employee said the lock was broken off sometime between 6 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Monday.

According to reports, the machine had no further damage and no money was missing.

No fingerprints were found on the machine.


A UA student contacted police Monday after someone broke into her car while it was parked in a UA lot, reports stated.

She told police she parked and locked her car in the lot at 1151 N. Vine Ave. at about 8 a.m., and when she returned at about 10:40 a.m., her passenger window was shattered and personal belongings were missing from the car, reports stated.

Her Pioneer compact disc player valued at an estimated $350 and 20 to 30 compact discs valued at an estimated $480 were stolen.

No fingerprints were found on the car.


Police responded Monday to a parking lot near McKale Stadium after a UA student reported her car being vandalized, reports stated.

She told police she parked her 1990 Volvo at the McKale Garage and locked it sometime Saturday.

According to reports, the student said when she returned to the car she found her sunroof slightly open.

When she looked at the sunroof again, she noticed small scratches on her roof, reports stated.

The officer at the scene looked at the roof and found small scratches as well, but couldn't identify the tool that was used to try and pry the roof open, reports stated.

No fingerprints were found on the car.
