Likins stands by FLA as rivaling labor rights group gains support
[news] With both the Workers' Rights Consortium and the Fair Labor Association growing in membership and gaining momentum, the question over which factory monitoring system will be more effective is becoming simpler, UA President Peter Likins said yesterday. Since April, the University of Arizona has been a member of the FLA, and Likins has pledged to remain in it as long as it presents a capable way of monitoring factories that produce UA apparel.

The 4-0 loss to the Tucson Chili Peppers, a women's club team, was just the latest loss for the winless Icers (0-6), whose inaugural season hasn't gotten off to a flying start in terms of wins.

The center's exhibit, recently returning from its New York City premiere, showcases 36 renowned photographic prints by artists influential to the history of photography and its evolution.
