Two campus-area rapes linked to same man
Police not yet releasing evidence that same suspect is responsible
Two rapes that occurred near campus in October are now being linked to the same man, police say.
The sexual assaults of a 20-year-old University of Arizona student on Oct. 3 and of a 22-year-old Tucsonan on Oct. 31 were, in fact, committed by the same suspect, said Sgt. Marco Borboa, spokesman for the Tucson Police Department.

Seniors leave on sour note
UA loses homecoming game, 51-37, to Stanford
So much for a bowl game.
For the third straight season, the Arizona football team will not play in a bowl game after getting embarrassed for three quarters at home against No. 16 Stanford and losing 51-37 Saturday night.
"Hell no, we haven't played (an) entire 60 minutes all season," UA junior wide receiver Bobby Wade said. "I don't remember a game where we have. Putting 60 minutes together for this Wildcat football team has almost been impossible all year. It's probably our No. 1 problem."

Letters to the Editor
Jianqing Yang will be missed by all
On Nov. 3, Jianqing Yang and his wife, Yu Yun Chen, were violently taken from us. Those of us who knew Jianqing are still struggling to come to terms with our loss. Your article of Nov. 7 described (Yang) as a student of chemistry but failed to mention his other, equally important role here at the University of Arizona. Jianqing Yang was a TA.
