ASUA may support delaying housing cap

Under Proposal, all students currently living in dorms would be able to return next year

An ASUA senator will propose a resolution tonight that would recommend postponing the recently passed housing cap for another year.

The cap, which was created by University of Arizona administrators, allows only freshmen and and a limited number of sophomores to live in the dorms beginning in the fall. [Read article]

'Czech Cannon' propels Icecats

Ice hockey was the last thing on senior Pavel Jandura's mind when he arrived in the United States in 1996. He left his native Czech Republic only to study English and advance his education, with a return to his homeland imminent.

Then he saw an advertisement for the Arizona Icecats. Ice hockey for children in the Czech Republic holds the importance of Little League baseball for American kids, and Jandura was curious to see the brand of hockey played in the desert. [Read article]
