Stoudamire's 37 lead Cats past Ducks

Salim Stoudamire posted a career-high 37 points to propel the UA men's basketball team past Oregon last night in Eugene, Ore.

No. 14 Arizona (17-6, 9-5 Pac-10) beat the Ducks (12-8, 7-6) by a score of 100-87 despite UO senior Luke Jackson's 42-point outburst, which was a career high for the All-American. He also had 10 rebounds.

Stoudamire shot 9-of-14 from the floor, including 6-of-8 from 3-point distance. The junior, who is the reigning Pac-10 Player of the Week, also hit 13-of-15 free throws.

UA sophomore Hassan Adams scored 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds despite not starting the game. Junior center Channing Frye scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Arizona finishes its Oregon road trip against Oregon State tomorrow at 8 p.m.
