A man was arrested for drunken driving at 1:15 a.m. Sunday at North Euclid Avenue and East Mabel Street, reports stated.

The man had been waiting at the red light and as soon as the light turned green, he turned left in front of traffic, almost causing a collision, reports stated.

When the police officer pulled the man over and approached the vehicle, he saw beer cans in the back of the man's truck, reports stated.

The officer saw the driver had watery, bloodshot eyes and could smell alcohol on his breath. The officer asked him if he had been drinking, and he said he had three beers, reports stated.

The man agreed to take field sobriety tests and stumbled when he got out of the truck. The officer asked the man a couple of questions, and the man said, "I'm not going to do your fucking tests," reports stated.

The officers tried to do a Breathalyzer on the man, but they were coming up invalid, so the man was transported to University Medical Center for blood tests.

The man was cited and released to his mother.


A man was arrested around 11 p.m. Saturday for possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia at the Center for Creative Photography, 1030 N. Olive Road, reports stated.

Police approached the man, who was standing alone with two bikes and two backpacks, and ran a warrant check on him that revealed he had two outstanding warrants, reports stated.

Police searched the man and found a small bag containing what the man described as "meth." The man's backpack also contained $265 in cash, more methamphetamine, several glass pipes with black-and-white residue, syringes, other drug paraphernalia, a scale and metal knuckles, reports stated.

The man said all the items were his, reports stated.

The man's girlfriend said she had seen him sell meth before, and he had been on the phone doing "drug deals."

Police arrested the man and took him to Pima County Jail.


The windshield of a student's Jeep Wrangler was broken on Saturday in the Zone 1 lot at 601 N. Vine Road, reports stated.

The student last saw her windshield intact on Friday at 3:30 p.m. When she returned to her vehicle at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, the windshield was broken, reports stated.

The student said it looked as though someone had hit it with a fist or an open palm because there were no objects near the vehicle that could have caused the damage, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


The $150 front suspension forks on a student's mountain bike were stolen Sunday from Pinal Residence Hall, 1511 E. Sixth St., reports stated.

The student remembered seeing the suspension forks on the bike Saturday at 6 p.m. When he returned Sunday at 10:30 a.m., they were missing, reports stated.

The rest of the bike was still locked to the racks, reports stated.


The faceplate on a student's stereo was stolen from her car Monday while it was parked in a Zone 1 lot, 1325 N. Warren Ave., reports stated.

The student left her car at 8:30 a.m., and when she returned at 3:30 p.m., the driver-side window was broken and the faceplate was missing, reports stated.

Nothing else was taken from the vehicle, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A man's wallet was stolen from his pants while he was asleep Sunday in the Delta Tau Delta fraternity house, 1050 N. Cherry Ave., reports stated.

The man said he fell asleep in the common area of the house at 3 a.m., and when he woke up at 6 a.m., his keys were on the ground and his wallet was missing from his pocket, reports stated.

The student canceled the credit cards that were in the wallet.


The license plate of a Dodge Caravan was stolen sometime Saturday or Sunday while it was parked at the Swede Johnson building, 1111 N. Cherry Ave., reports stated.

The owner of the car left it at 5 p.m. Saturday, and when she returned at noon Monday, the license plate was missing, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


Two $40 PlayStation video game controllers, two $40 Xbox video game controllers and a $399 Casio digital camera were stolen from a room in Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St., over the weekend, reports stated.

The roommates left the sixth-floor room unlocked at 8 a.m. Saturday. When they returned Sunday at 1 p.m., the items were missing.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.
