A man spit on and yelled at a student Monday afternoon while she was talking on her cell phone in front of the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences building, 1118 E. Fourth St., reports stated.

The student told police a man walked by her and said, "You tramp," after spitting on her.

The student said the spit hit her bare stomach, reports stated.

The student told police she did not want to press charges, but wanted to document the incident.

The description of the man matched a description of a man who has harassed girls on a previous occasion.

Police have no suspects, reports stated.


A student was assaulted the night of April 8 by a female at Spring Fling, held at 4502 N. First Ave., reports stated.

When police arrived, the student said five females had cut in front of her and her friends while they were in the line for the Zipper ride.

The student said her friends made comments to the five females about cutting.

The student said that when she left the Zipper, one of the five females approached her and punched her in the left eye, reports stated.

While talking to police, the victim saw the friends of the female who had hit her, but not the female.

The friends denied to police that anyone had hit the victim and said they did not know where their friend was.

The victim had a black eye but said she did not need medical attention, reports stated.


A student driving an '89 Chevy Celebrity Tuesday afternoon backed into a $6,400 tan metal ticket meter at the Main Gate Garage, reports stated.

When police arrived, an employee told police the student had pulled up and had told her the garage was full. The student then tried to back out, and hit the meter, putting a 2-foot high, 4-inch wide dent in it.

The student admitted to hitting the meter and was cited, reports stated.


A $1,250 silver laptop and a $500 black laptop were stolen sometime between the night of April 7 and the morning of April 8 from the Physics and Atmospheric Sciences building, reports stated.

When police arrived, a UA employee told them the laptops had been in an unlocked green filing cabinet. The employee said a string of laptops had been stolen from the PAS building, but there hadn't been any stolen lately.

Police found no signs of forced entry.

Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.


A minor was pulled over for underage drinking early Sunday morning on the corner of North Euclid Avenue and East Edison Street, reports stated.

Police noticed the minor driving with no lights on and pulled him over.

The boy hit the curb when pulling over, and police asked him to turn onto the next street, reports stated.

He did and hit the curb once again while pulling over.

When police approached the minor, he said, "I'm nervous," reports stated.

Police smelled alcohol on the minor's breath and noticed he had red, watery eyes.

The boy admitted to drinking and agreed to do a field sobriety test.

He was cited and released to his parents, reports stated.


A suspicious person was hanging around the bike racks at La Paz Residence Hall, 602 N. Highland Ave., Sunday night, reports stated.

When police arrived, the man was gone. A witness told police he had seen the man ride off on a blue and silver bike.

Police found a cut U-Lock next to the bike racks.

The U-Lock was placed into property, reports stated.
