Freshman considers herself a nerd, watches shows like 'Pyramid' and 'Family Matters'

Wildcat: Do you have a couple of minutes?

Ott: Mmm ... I dunno. What's this for?

Wildcat: Well, I'm Claire from the Daily Wildcat and you're on the spot.

Ott: I'm on the spot? Why?

Wildcat: Why not?

Ott: The people that are always in there don't make any sense. The people in there just like try and make up shit that isn't true to make themselves look cool.

Wildcat: Are you going to try and bring the Wildcat down a notch and keep it real? Or are you gonna try and make yourself sound cool, too?

Ott: Oh, I'm not cool.

Wildcat: Why aren't you cool? What's the nerdiest thing about you?

Ott: Mmm ... I go to the library every night and study.

Wildcat: That is pretty nerdy. But I'm known to do the same thing. Are you a member of the Nerd Society of America?

Ott: Oh, certainly not.

Wildcat: Then you really can't call yourself a nerd yet. You have to wear the Steve Urkel pants for a month to be

initiated.

Ott: Oh, I was just watching "Family Matters." I love that show. I like "Password" and "Pyramid" off of the Game Show Network.

Wildcat: That's pretty nerdy, you know.

Ott: Yeah, I guess that's my new nerdy thing.

Wildcat: How would you do if you got on the Pyramid?

Ott: Oh, I would just plain kick ass.

Wildcat: Do you get, like, really angry with the people who screw up and give crappy clues to their partners?

Ott: You just wanna jump in there and help them out ...

Wildcat: And start beating them and strangling and biting and ... yeah. So what makes you angry?

Ott: When people walk really slow. I just wanna shove them or tap them on the shoulder and be like "Excuse me!" 'cause they always walk in herds. It's not like it's just one person that you can get around ... no, they have to walk in herds!

Wildcat: Do you think one day you're gonna get stuck behind "the herd" on the way to a final and then just suddenly snap?

Ott: You know, I might. I just might.
