Local comedy groups duke it out at the Battle of the Improvs; the winner is decided by an audience vote. The throw-down takes place at Wilde Playhouse, 135 E. Congress St. $8.

 

Poetry Night - 7.00 p.m.

Bookman's, 6230 E. Speedway, hosts and open mic night for people wishing to share poetry - either their own or that of others. Listeners are welcome. FREE.

 

Film - 7.30 p.m.

Kick back outdoors at sundown with the classic John Wayne flick "Stagecoach," directed by John Ford. The screen will light up at La Placita Village Plaza, South Church Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard. $3.
