The front driver's side window of a student's car was shattered while the car was parked in the Tyndall Garage,
880 E. Fourth St., sometime over the weekend, reports stated.
The student parked his car at 10 p.m. on Saturday and when he returned at 12:30 p.m. Sunday he found it damaged, reports stated.
The window was shattered but still intact on the door.
When he opened the door the window fell to the ground.
Nothing was taken from the vehicle and police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
A man was arrested at East Speedway Boulevard and North Wilson Street on July 13 at 11:46 p.m. for having six warrants out for his arrest, reports stated.
The warrants included trespassing, several failures to appear in court, assault and disorderly conduct violations, reports stated.
Police transported the man to Pima County Jail and were called later that night because upon searching the
man, corrections officers found drugs and paraphernalia on him, reports stated.
The man had cocaine, marijuana, generic Percodan tablets and a smoking pipe in his right shoe. The pipe had a white powdery substance in it and resembled burnt cocaine, reports stated.
He told police that he had found the items in the booking area and that there were more out there. An officer searched the lobby area and found no evidence of any drugs.
The man then told police he was a drug addict and that he knowingly placed the items in his right sock because he is addicted to drugs, reports stated.
He also said that he is a heavy heroin user and smoked a marijuana cigarette two days earlier, reports stated.
The charges of marijuana possession and use, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia were added to his list of charges, reports stated.
All of the items were placed into evidence.
Three suspicious messages were left by an unknown male on the answering machine for the Panhellenic Council office, 1303 E. University Blvd., between 3:05 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on July 10, reports stated.
In the first two, the man stated that his sister had been sexually abused by a fraternity member last semester and that fraternity members should be better screened, reports stated.
He said that if things did not change that the fraternities would have trouble.
In the third message, than man stated his name was "Mike from Pike" and he wanted information about date rape pills so he could give them to freshman women. He left a phone number, which turned out to be that of the men's tennis office, reports stated.
Police told the employee that reported the situation to contact UAPD if she had any further information and if she wanted UAPD Crime Prevention to speak to sorority members on avoiding being victims of sexual assault.
Police have no suspects, witnesses or further leads.
An employee of the Health Sciences Library, 1350 N. Warren Ave., reported the words "BSR," "XCEPT" and "LIVES" tagged in the second floor men's restroom sometime between July 12 and July 13, reports stated.
The words were written in white paint on the mirrors, black paint on the ceiling and etched with a sharp object on the toilet stalls, reports stated.
The library was locked at 11 p.m. the evening of July 12 and a custodian found the damage at 3:30 a.m. the next morning, reports stated.
Police have no suspect or witnesses.
Someone broke the padlock on the double wooden doors of the Sigma Kappa sorority house, 1588 E. First St., between 3 p.m. July 12 and 7:45 a.m. July 13, reports stated.
The site supervisor found the damage, but did not notice that anything was missing.
Later the supervisor realized that the fire alarm blueprints for the building were missing but said that they may have just been misplaced or taken home by one of the other workers, reports stated.
An officer told the supervisor to call UAPD if he discovered that the blueprints were stolen, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
