A man was arrested for underage drinking and possession of marijuana at 11:22 a.m. on July 25 in the parking lot of University House Apartments, 1150 E. Eighth St., reports stated.

Police responded to a report of a loud party at the complex and when they approached the building they saw a man walking towards them with a red plastic cup.

Police asked the man what was in the cup and he said "coke and Jack Daniels," reports stated.

Police searched the man by tapping him down and found a glass bottle with marijuana residue in it, reports stated.

Police checked the man's license and confirmed that he was underage and his license was not suspended. Police confiscated the man's license and cited and released him for the two charges, reports stated.

The bottle was placed into evidence.

A $500 battery charger for a golf cart was stolen from a cart while it was locked in an eight-foot fenced area at the northeast corner of the Psychology building, 1503 E. University Blvd., sometime in the last week, reports stated.

An employee told police that the item had last been seen secured under the flat bed of the cart on July 14 at 3 p.m. The charger was noticed missing on July 23 at 3:30 p.m., reports stated.

The employee told police that no one had borrowed the charger. Police checked the area where the cart was secured and saw no evidence of anyone tampering with the lock.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.

A stolen Toyota truck was found around 3 a.m. on July 23 parked in a Zone One lot, 1224 N. Martin Ave., reports stated.

Police saw the car parked in the lot with dash mats and tools from its toolbox in the bed and a rope lying on the ground next to it. The ignition had been damaged and removed from the vehicle, reports stated.

The glove compartment was open and the contents were strewn about the cab of the truck and the console where the stereo was had been damaged and broken open, reports stated.

There was also an oily substance all over the truck that police suspected to be WD-40, as there was an empty can of WD-40 on the ground next to the truck, reports stated.

The owner of the truck was contacted and told police to have the truck towed to Tucson Wrecking.

Police found a receipt for a pawn shop in the truck with a woman's name on it. The woman had numerous contacts with police and had been arrested several times. Police tried to contact the woman at the addresses provided but were unsuccessful.

The man said he did not know the woman.

The truck's license plate was also missing.

Police have no further suspects or witnesses.

Someone spraypainted the word, "FAG," on the corner of the southeast wall of the Sigma Chi fraternity house, 1525 E. Drachman St., sometime on July 23, reports stated.

A man reported that the damage had been done between 1 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.

He suspected the person or persons who had defaced the property may have been the former tenants of the PIKE house, but had no proof, reports stated.

He said he had hired security and is installing video surveillance equipment, reports stated.

Photos of the damage were taken and placed into evidence. Police have no further suspects or witnesses.

A woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing after yelling inside the Student Union Memorial Center, 1303 E. University Blvd., around 7:30 a.m. on July 22, reports stated.

Someone called police because she was in the building yelling and scaring children in the area, reports stated.

Police recognized the woman from a similar situation in the past at the library.

Police told the woman that if she wished to stay on the campus then she needed to conduct herself in a more polite fashion. The woman then walked away, reports stated.

Five minutes later, another person reported that the woman was disturbing the peace again and was yelling and cussing at her, making her uncomfortable, reports stated.

Because the woman had already been warned and had not heeded the officers' advice, police arrested the woman and transported her to Pima County Jail.
