Junior works at Chick-fil-A, skateboards in his free time, and enjoys 'old school' Snoop Dogg
Martinez: What's up, Nathan?
Wildcat: What's up. And you're On the Spot. What are you doing?
Martinez: Killing time before I go to work.
Wildcat: Where do you work?
Martinez: Chick-fil-A in the student union.
Wildcat: Do you get discounts there? Like, food-wise?
Martinez: Uh ... my boss might be reading the newspaper ... no.
Wildcat: No? OK. The bottom of your skateboard ... how come it's scratched out? What was there? An old girlfriend's name or something?
Martinez: Oh no. It said "shizzle." ... (I'm a) big fan of Snoop Dogg.
Wildcat: I see.
Martinez: And I though that was a cool word and I tagged something, sort of. And it gets scratched out because I try to do tricks on campus. ... (I'm) not supposed to do that.
Wildcat: Man, I used to have - when I was a kid ... do you remember those big, fat skateboards? Like in the early '90s, late '80s?
Martinez: I had a pink one. It was pretty cool.
Wildcat: I had one, it had a big cobra on the bottom. Pretty tight.
Martinez: Oh yeah?
Wildcat: I don't even know what the purpose of those really skinny ones were. Remember those skinny skateboards? There were like, a foot and a half long ... and 5 inches wide.
Martinez: Yeah. I had a friend who swore they were the best skateboards -
Wildcat: They weren't even boards. They were ... skates.
Martinez: They had big wheels, yeah. I could never ride it.
Wildcat: How many hours do you practice a day?
Martinez: I don't know. Like today, I just felt like skating. I don't plan it out, you know. I just ...
Wildcat: Whenever you feel like it?
Martinez: Yeah.
Wildcat: What's your favorite Snoop Dogg song? I think mine is that "Beautiful" song.
Martinez: Oh, that new one?
Wildcat: Yeah ... is that new?
Martinez: With Pharrell?
Wildcat: No, no, no, no, no. Not with Pharrell, um , oh yeah! With him.
Martinez: Yeah. I haven't listened to it that much. I'm more a fan of his old '93 stuff. Like "Ain't Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang."
Wildcat: OK. Old school?
Martinez: Old school, yeah.
