A student was cited and released for streaking after a patrolling officer spotted him running from the Delta Chi parking lot on the corner of East First Street and North Martin Avenue, Friday at 2:30 a.m., reports stated.
The officer heard the student yelling "yeah," and spotted him running down the sidewalk.
After using a siren burst, the student stopped behind a house where he was questioned, reports stated.
He was completely nude except for his white running shoes, and he smelled of liquor, reports stated.
Moments later another man brought the clothes that the student had been wearing earlier that evening. Spectators from the Delta Chi fraternity and the Phi Delta Gamma fraternity watched as the officer wrote a citation for disturbing the peace and released the student, reports stated.
One student was cited after a resident assistant notified the police that she smelled marijuana while making her rounds in Coronado Residence Hall, 822 E. Fifth St, Friday, reports stated.
Officers began smelling the doorjambs where the odor was apparently strongest and knocked on the door.
The officer heard a toilet flush, and a minute later the resident opened the door, reports stated.
Three men were in the room, two were students and one was a visitor.
Officers then noted that one had obvious signs of alcohol use and the visitor had clearly been using marijuana.
The student was cited for minor in possession of alcohol and released, reports stated.
A student reported that his bike had been vandalized heavily sometime last week at the Learning Services building, 1512 E. First St., reports stated.
The bike's front wheel and fender were bent. The lock was bent so badly that the student could not unlock it and remove the bike.
The owner hopes to remove the bike soon to see if there is any damage to the frame.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
A green Chevy Cavalier was vandalized in a parking lot at the intersection of North Mountain Avenue and East Ft. Lowell Street, between 9 a.m. and 1:11 p.m., Friday.
Someone broke the driver-side window, and then bent and cracked the front window frame, reports stated.
Nothing was reported missing from inside the car.
Police have no suspects or witnesses. Police were unable to lift any usable prints, reports stated.
A woman at the Ina E. Gittings building, 1713 E. University Blvd., reported that her cell phone and $40 had been stolen from her purse Friday, between 10 a.m. and 1:33 p.m., reports stated.
After noticing that the purse was missing, the woman searched the building. She found it in the men's restroom and retrieved it only to find the two items missing.
The woman noted that a similar incident happened three years ago.
Police are unsure if these incidents are related in any way, and have no suspects or witnesses.
