Police arrested an underage man after they saw him and two other people standing around a case of beer Sunday night, reports stated.
At midnight, an officer driving by the Delta Tau Delta fraternity house, 1050 N. Cherry Ave., saw the people standing around a 30-pack of beer. One man admitted ownership of the beer. He was cited for minor in possession, reports stated.
The officer made the people pour the beer out and then released them, reports stated.
Police arrested a student Saturday for drinking in public after he was seen walking on North First Avenue, holding a cup of beer, reports stated.
The officer saw him walking down the street at 11:10 p.m. holding a cup of dark liquid. The student said he was 21 years old and said the liquid in the cup was beer, reports stated.
After checking his license through the MVD database, the officer cited the student for using a suspended license and for drinking in public, reports stated.
When given the citation, the student said to the officer, "Go fuck yourself," reports stated.
A patron from the Marroney Theatre, 1025 N. Olive Road, called police after a person stole his wallet on Sunday night, reports stated.
The man was standing next to a trashcan and throwing away items from his jacket. A person then bumped into him, reports stated.
When the man got back home, he realized that his wallet was missing from his front pants pocket, reports stated.
The man could not give a description of the person because it was dark outside. Police have no suspects or witnesses.
Police arrested a student Saturday after he was seen holding a beer in front of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity house, 1050 N. Cherry Ave., reports stated.
An officer drove by the fraternity house at 1 a.m. and saw the student on the west side of the building holding a can of beer. When the student saw the officer, he put the beer on the ground, reports stated.
The student had red, watery eyes and slurred speech. He told the officer that he was holding the beer for a friend, reports stated.
The officer cited the student for a minor in possession charge and made him pour out the beer, reports stated.
Police warned a student that he may be arrested for disorderly conduct after two resident assistants reported that he had been making excessive noise and shouting obscenities in the residence hall, reports stated.
Coronado Residence Hall RAs called police at 2:52 p.m. on Saturday to report the student's behavior. The student had been causing problems for some time. When he was confronted by other RAs, he told them that he was not a resident, reports stated.
The RAs also said the student would refuse to provide identification and would sometimes use profanity towards them. After that, he would run out of the building, reports stated.
Police called the student the next day and told him that if the problems persisted, he could be arrested on disorderly conduct charges, reports stated.
A student's guitar was vandalized and his CDs stolen from his truck Saturday, reports stated.
The student parked his Chevrolet Silverado behind the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house, 1509 E. Second St., at 11 p.m. on Thursday. When he returned at 7 a.m. the next morning, he found the two compact disc cases stolen, reports stated.
When the student looked in the backseat, he saw that somebody had pulled the strings out of his Gibson guitar and ruined the bridge, reports stated.
The 80 CDs were worth $400 and the damage to the guitar was estimated to be $300, reports stated.
The student said the remote door lock to the truck was malfunctioning recently and could not confirm that the truck was actually locked. After lifting fingerprints from the truck, the student said they were most likely his, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
A student who took a shortcut through a Taco Bell on East Speedway Boulevard and North Campbell Avenue on Thursday had a suspended driver's license, reports stated.
Police first noticed the blue Jeep Wrangler speeding while driving on Speedway. The driver then cut through the Taco Bell parking lot and drove down the alley south of the building, reports stated.
Police cited the man for speeding, driving with a suspended driver's license and for driving through private property to avoid a red light, reports stated.
