For the second time in her career, Arizona senior Monica Bisordi was named Pacific 10 Conference Gymnast of the Week for Feb. 14-21, announced yesterday.
Friday, the San Mateo, Calif., native won her third consecutive all-around title and in the process established a new season high score of 39.425 over then-No. 16 Oregon State. In addition, Bisordi won at least a share of the title in three of the four individual events. She tied for first on both the vault and bars with a score of 9.875 on each. Bisordi met a season-best score of 9.9 in the floor exercise and in the process took sole claim of the individual title. She finished third on the uneven bars with a mark of 9.775.
Bisordi also received the honor after recording a career-best 39.75 in the all-around against California on Feb. 6, 2004.
The No. 17 Gymcats (10-5, 3-2 Pac-10) hits the road Sunday to take on No. 2 UCLA and No. 8 Georgia at 2 p.m. in Los Angeles.
