Women's swim and dive takes second at Pac-10 Championship

The Arizona women's swim and dive teams took home second place and four conference titles at the Pacific 10 Conference Championships in Seattle this weekend.

The 400-yard relay team of freshman Courtney Cashion, junior Jenna Gresdal, junior Ryann Hackett and freshman Lacey Nymeyer won on the tournament's final event Saturday, with a time of 3:18.01.

Senior Jessica Hayes finished second in the 200y backstroke. She won the event at the Championships last season.

Senior Emily Mason took third in the 200y butterfly with a time of 1:56.36.

Gresdal finished third in the 100y freestyle (49.56). Cashion and Nymeyer were fourth and sixth, respectively.

Junior Erin Sieper took fourth in the 200y breaststroke, clocking a time of 2:14.62

Senior Daniela Bemme ended fourth in the platform diving competition with 424.40 points, as senior Claire Febvay placed right behind with 370.15 points.

The Wildcats scored 1,237 team points on the weekend, behind Stanford (1,499).
