The Arizona men's golf team will not have much time to rest over break, as it plays in both the Anteater Invitational and the Hall of Fame Invitational.

"I expect to compete well," said Arizona assistant coach John Knauer. "We're very deep."

The Anteater Invitational, a junior varsity event, will be held in Irvine, Calif., Monday and Tuesday. The Wildcats finished sixth out of 10 teams in the competition last season.

Knauer said he believes this event will help the team prepare for the future and get better acquainted with its roster.

"The guys we're sending are sort of our 'B' team," Knauer said. "But it's everyone else's varsity team."

Just as soon as they return, Arizona's varsity team leaves for the Hall of Fame Invitational, a 54-hole event in Houston March 18-20.

"It's the top teams in the country," Knauer said. "You make even one mistake and you might end up finishing last."
