Sophomore loves R&B, cursing in French and nachos
Wildcat: My name is Kylee and you're on the spot. Have you ever seen "Inside the Actor's Studio?"
Gilbert: No, I haven't, actually.
Wildcat: You've never seen it?
Gilbert: No. I don't have much time for, well, just about anything, really. My homework keeps me busy, locked in a room.
Wildcat: OK, then, that's good 'cause you can't tell I stole these questions. The questions I'm about to ask you are from James Lipton's "Inside the Actor's Studio," but he stole them from some guy named Bernard Pivot.
Gilbert: So, you're not the first person to steal this?
Wildcat: No.
Gilbert: OK.
Wildcat: So, here we go. What is your favorite word?
Gilbert: Dude.
Wildcat: What is your least favorite word?
Gilbert: Like.
Wildcat: What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Gilbert: Music. Jazz, rhythm and blues, something like that.
Wildcat: What turns you off?
Gilbert: Country.
Wildcat: Country music?
Gilbert: Yeah.
Wildcat: OK. (Laughs) What is your favorite curse word?
Gilbert: Merde.
Wildcat: Hmmm?
Gilbert: It's "shit" in French, basically,
Wildcat: How do you spell that?
Gilbert: M-E-R-D-E.
Wildcat: What sound or noise do you love?
Gilbert: Huhhuh?
Wildcat: (Laughs) OK ...
Gilbert: Good luck spellin' that one.
Wildcat: What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Gilbert: Ah ... acting ... theater ... being in plays ... ahm ... That's pretty much it.
Wildcat: But you're supposed to be an actor in this interview! Besides acting and theater, what would you like to do?
Gilbert: Besides acting and theater, ah, creative writing.
Wildcat: What profession would you not like to do?
Gilbert: Systems analyst.
Wildcat: If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?
Gilbert: Check your coat at the door. There's nachos at the table.
