Someone broke a window Saturday in the Social Sciences building, 1145 E. South Campus Drive, reports stated.

The window was at ground level but the opening was not big enough for anyone to crawl through, reports stated.

The opening in the glass was about 12 to 14 inches wide and 6 to 8 inches high, reports stated.

Police contacted maintenance to fix the broken window, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


Someone wrote graffiti on the inside of an elevator Saturday in the Student Union Memorial Center, 1303 E. University Blvd., reports stated.

An employee was going to work that morning and saw white writing that had been done with a marker or paint, reports stated.

The writing was illegible, reports stated.

The employee said other employees were at the student union until 11 the night before so the damage must have occurred after that, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A man was cited for possession of marijuana Saturday morning after police pulled his car over for expired plates, reports stated.

The man was driving on East Enke Drive and North Campbell Avenue when police approached the car. The man had no driver's license, reports stated.

Police smelled the odor of marijuana and found a plastic bag of a green, leafy substance under the driver's seat and a 6-inch glass pipe with marijuana residue, reports stated.

The man said he recently purchased the car from his brother, who is the pothead in the family, reports stated.

The man said his brother was the last person to drive the car, reports stated.

The man was cited for possession of marijuana and other traffic violations and released at the scene.


A student was cited for minor in possession Saturday morning at the Alpha Phi sorority house, 1339 E. First St., reports stated.

One police officer contacted another police officer on duty and requested he check on a student who appeared to be intoxicated, reports stated.

The officer arrived on the scene and the student was not walking well and had a strong odor of alcohol, reports stated.

The student told police she had one beer and a "kamikaze," which she said was a mixed drink, reports stated.

Police checked her license and realized she was under 21 years old, reports stated.

The student was cooperative with police and apologized for "causing problems," reports stated.

The student was cited and referred to the Dean of Students.


Police found an abandoned bicycle and scattered tools Saturday in front of Belushe's, 1118 E. Sixth St., reports stated.

The bike was upside down and it appeared someone had been fixing the bicycle mechanics, reports stated.

Police went into Belushe's and one man said he did not see anyone leave the bicycle, reports stated.

Police searched the area on foot and in the car but could not find the owner, reports stated.

Police searched their records and the bike had not been reported stolen, reports stated.

The bike and tools were put into property for

safekeeping.


A traffic control arm was damaged sometime before Saturday afternoon in Tyndall Avenue Parking Garage, 880 E. Fourth St., reports stated.

Police were patrolling the area and saw that the wooden portion of the traffic control arm had been broken into

several pieces, reports stated.

Police placed the broken pieces near a control unit box so they would not be damaged more, reports stated.

Police contacted Parking and Transportation Services to inform them of the broken fixture, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student's stereo was stolen from his car Saturday morning from a Zone 1 parking lot, 522 N. Tyndall Ave., reports stated.

The student said he left his car unlocked at around 2 a.m. and returned at 8:45 a.m. and the stereo was missing, reports stated.

Police found no signs of forced entry, and the student said he had no alarm devices to secure his car, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


Someone stole a man's wallet from a locker inside the Student Recreation Center, 1400 E. Sixth St., reports stated.

The student locked his wallet in a locker and returned but forgot to re-secure it, reports stated.

The wallet contained $40, a debit card, a credit card and a driver's license, reports stated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.
