A student's truck was broken into and his backpack was stolen while parked at a meter space on East Seventh Street and North Highland Avenue Thursday morning, reports stated.
The student told police he parked his truck at the meter at 6 a.m. and returned to find the passenger window broken and his backpack gone, reports stated.
He told police there was an estimated $410 worth of belongings in his backpack that was stolen, including his textbooks, headphones, a Flash drive and a Windows XP Professional CD, reports stated.
The student told police he did not wish to prosecute, reports stated.
Police found no investigative leads, suspects or witnesses.
An employee's bike seat and post totaling approximately $125 were stolen Thursday while his bike was locked to the bike racks on the south side of the Arizona Museum of Art, 1031 E. Olive Road, reports stated.
The employee told police he checked on his bike at 11 a.m. and when he returned to check on it again at 1:45 p.m., his seat and post were stolen, reports stated.
He said nothing else was damaged or missing on the bicycle, reports stated.
The employee requested that a photograph be taken of the footprints found in the area, reports stated.
A detective responded to the scene and said it was unnecessary to take a photograph of the footprint, but a description was provided in the police report along with a drawing, reports stated.
The employee told police he would call back if he had any additional information, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
A student's cell phone was stolen Wednesday afternoon from his room at Arizona-Sonora Residence Hall, 910 E. Fifth St., reports stated.
The student told police he last saw his phone in his room at 2:50 p.m., reports stated. He said he walked out of his room and returned at 3 p.m. to find his cell phone missing, reports stated.
The student told police he thinks someone could have entered his room and took the phone, reports stated.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
A student was arrested Thursday night for disorderly conduct at Coronado Residence Hall, 922 E. Fifth St., reports stated.
Police were alerted that a man was banging on the south door of Coronado and harassing the residents, reports stated.
Police saw the student and told him to stop banging on the door, and he listened and turned toward police, reports stated.
Police told the student to drop what was in his hands, which was a cell phone and a pair of shoes, reports stated.
The student complied with the officer's demands until the officer touched his arm, and the student began to try and push away, reports stated.
After some struggle police were able to place the student into handcuffs, reports stated. The student had a strong smell of alcohol on his breath and did not respond to any of the officer's questions, reports stated.
When the officer attempted to put the student into the police car he resisted and yelled but ultimately complied, reports stated.
During transportation to Pima County Jail the student began yelling in an incoherent manner and began to spit on the rear windows, reports stated.
The cell phone found in the student's possession did not belong to him but to a friend who lived in the residence hall, who police could not get in contact with, reports stated.
Police spoke with the hall director who called police, reports stated.
The hall director said he was outside when he saw the student walking incoherently and waving his arms around, reports stated.
He told police he was almost struck by the student, and once he went inside the student began to bang on the door with his fists and he felt threatened, reports stated.
The employee told police the student lived in Arizona-Sonora, reports stated.
A code of conduct was filled out for the dean of student's records along with a subject management report, reports stated.
Police have no other witnesses or victims.
At an unknown time a bathroom stall was vandalized on the second floor of the Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Lab, 1130 N. Mountain Ave., reports stated.
An employee told police he noticed the black writing while he was inspecting the sprinkler heads in the bathroom, reports stated.
The writing stated, "Joe B fucks pigs sucks Al dick and is racest (sic)."
The employee told police he suspected another employee wrote it because of the misspellings and poor grammar, reports stated.
He said when the employee was terminated he called that man a racist and mentioned the supervisor, reports stated.
