With graduation looming around the corner, many graduating seniors are filled with excitement for the future but uncertainty for what might come next.
Getting a job is a must, but for most students that will only come after settling back in at home, taking a break to spend time with family and a relaxing vacation.
Tyler Ross, a psychology senior, said she plans to take a year off and move to the East Coast with her family.
"My family is moving to Boston, and I am going to New York," Ross said, "hopefully to get an internship working with child psychologists."
Ross plans to attend graduate school but is taking a year off before she begins looking into schools in New York.
"I want to take a break for a while and get settled into living in New York, and then I'll start applying to grad school, hopefully in New York," Ross said.
Brooke Edelman, a communication senior, is moving back home also, and plans to get a job in Phoenix in special events.
Eventually, after she saves up enough money, Edelman said she will be moving into a house with friends and enjoying a relaxing trip to New York.
Both students are excited to graduate but are unsure what the next chapter in their lives will hold.
"I am excited to finally be graduating, but this is a dramatic and scary step," Edelman said.
Ross described her feelings as a "wave of emotions," where she feels "scared" about what comes next, but also "excited to see what the future holds."
Graduation, however, does not mean the end of their time at the UA. Both Ross and Edelman plan to keep in touch with friends and even visit old friends and relive old traditions.
"I will keep in touch will girls from my sorority (Alpha Epsilon Phi) that are still here, and I'll try to come visit sometime," Ross said.
Edelman said that because she is living close by in Phoenix, she will come back to visit friends and will make sure not to miss next year's Homecoming.
