A 16-year-old girl from California was arrested for underage drinking at the football game at Arizona Stadium, 540 N. Vine Ave., Saturday at 10:15 p.m., reports stated.
The girl was visiting her sister, a UA student. At the game, an officer noticed the girl lost her balance and several other girls tried to help her up, with difficulty, reports stated.
The girl smelled like alcohol and told police she had "a little" to drink that night.
The girl could not keep her balance, swayed when she stood and slurred her speech.
The girl could not be released to her sister. Upon gaining permission from the sisters' stepmother, another woman picked her up, reports stated.
The girl was cited and released for underage drinking.
An employee of the Center for Computing and Information Technology was smoking a cigarette in the alley between the CCIT, 1077 N. Highland Ave., and the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority house, when the janitor of Theta confronted him at 9:30 Friday morning, reports stated.
The employee told police that the janitor said, "Get the fuck off my property," and, "Fuck the computer center."
The employee responded with, "Go screw yourself."
The employee said the janitor then got a hose and sprayed him through the bushes, reports stated.
The janitor told police that she went out to water the plants and asked the employee not to smoke on their property. She denied having intentionally wet the man with the hose, reports stated.
She also told police that the house had an ongoing problem with CCIT employees smoking on their property. Police told her not to confront employees and to contact police in the future.
The building manager for the CCIT said she knew people were smoking on Theta's property but did not know it was a problem, reports stated.
Employees cannot smoke within 25 feet of the CCIT's entrance, so they smoke on the Theta property because it is shaded, the building manager told police.
Police told the property manager that if they continued to smoke on the private property, they could be cited or arrested for trespassing.
The manager said she would put up a memo stating that employees should not smoke at Theta, reports stated.
The house mother of Theta said she would put up "no trespassing" signs and tell the janitor not to confront people in the future.
Police noticed a lot of cigarette butts on the property.
Two mini iPods worth $598 were stolen sometime last week from Replay Entertainment, 1209 E. University Blvd., reports stated.
The manager of the store told police that the iPods were stolen sometime between Sept. 3 at 10 a.m. and Sept. 9 at 5 p.m.
The manager gave police the names of the employees who have access to the locked display counter. All of them denied stealing the merchandise, reports stated.
No one saw the items being stolen, and police have no suspects or witnesses.
A woman was arrested for trespassing while selling magazines in Kaibab-Huachuca Residence Hall, 922 E. Fourth St., at 1:30 p.m., Friday, reports stated.
The hall director noticed the woman was illegally soliciting to residents and was not a resident of the building.
The woman told police that her manager had dropped her and three other employees off on campus to sell magazines.
Police contacted the manager and told him that this was an ongoing problem with his company and that he needed to pick up his employees, reports stated.
Police told the woman that she was not to enter any halls or solicit anywhere on UA property unless she had consent from the UA.
The hall director gave police the names of four other employees he had contact with in the past. Police tried to contact the employees but had no luck, reports stated.
The exit and entry arms on the east side of Tyndall Garage, 880 E. Fourth St., were broken sometime Wednesday, reports stated.
Police noticed the exit bar was broken just after midnight. It appeared as though it had been damaged from the inside, but there was not vehicle debris or evidence of collision, so it is unknown how they were broken, reports stated.
Upon a second check of the area, the entrance bar was found damaged. There was no sign of what caused the breakage.
Police notified Parking and Transportation Services of the damage.
Police have no suspects or witnesses.
