If you've always wondered what classical art would be like if a sarcastic pack of wiener dogs ruled the earth, this exhibit is for you. Wettstein's cunning Dachsund reproductions of famous paintings may not give your mind a workout, but it will have you panting a little by the end. 9:30 a.m - 5 p.m. No bones (Free)

  • "In the Heat of the Night" - La Placita Village Plaza. 110 S. Church Ave. This 1960s film does not portray Sydney Poitier in the throes of passion, but it did win five Oscars back in the day for its controversial subject matter. 7:30 p.m. $3 donation

  • Club Congress' 20th Anniversary Celebration - Club Congress. 311 E. Congress St., The Rialto Theatre, 318 E. Congress St. There are going to be so many local bands at the kickoff of this three-day festival, that it might actually make you proud to be a Tucsonan.   • Late Night "Alien" Director's Cut - The Loft Cinema, 3233 E. Speedway Blvd. Go for a chance to see some rare new footage, or just sit back and boost your self-esteem by comparing yourself to all the losers around you who would waste a Friday night watching corny puppets try to kill the guy from "Mad About You." 10 p.m. $5

  • Second Annual Lesbian Short Play Festival - Temple of Music and Art. Cabaret Theatre. 330 S. Destiny when he tries to break the world record of kicks to one's own head. Considering today's world, it may not be that surprising that the current record is 42 consecutive kicks in one minute. Sixth Ave. If it doesn't bother you to see perfectly acceptable vehicles get ripped to shreds by evil giant motor trucks, you're either a masochistic freak or a typical guy. If you're neither, go to see the motorcycle racing. I hear the Hell's Angels have tight bods! 5 p.m. $10

  • Fifth Annual Apple Harvest Celebration - Apple Annie's Orchard, 2081 W. Hardy Road. By the time you leave this festival, you'll probably never want to see a piece of fruit again. Broadway Blvd. The co-author of "Michael Moore is a Big Fat Stupid White Man," Hardy is here to tell us all moore about why everyone's favorite filmmaker is really just a hypocritical liar.
