Explicit political graffiti was found on a stall in the men's employee bathroom in the Park Student Union, 615 N. Park Ave., Monday, reports stated.

Three other employees using the bathroom said they had not noticed any new graffiti on the stalls, reports stated.

A warehouse employee noticed the graffiti and called police. He said that the graffiti was not there when he last saw the bathroom on Friday around 3:30 p.m., reports sated.

Police have no suspects or witnesses.


A student's car stereo, CD and three wooden martial arts swords were stolen from her car while parked in the Park Avenue Garage, 1140 N. Park Ave., Monday, reports stated.

The student parked her car at 11 a.m. and when she returned 40 minutes later, she noticed that both doors on the driver's side were unlocked and everything was missing, reports stated.

A screwdriver was found on the driver's side seat of the car. The student said that the screwdriver did not belong to her, reports stated.

Police placed the screwdriver in evidence. There are no suspects or witnesses.


Basil plants were stolen from the UA greenhouses at the Controlled Environment Agriculture Center, 1951 E. Roger Road, sometime over the weekend, reports stated.

A student who is studying the growth of these plants under different circumstances said she last saw them at 2 p.m. Saturday. When she returned Sunday at 10 a.m. the plants were gone, reports stated.

The walls of the greenhouse are plastic and can be lifted by hand so it would not have been difficult for someone to access the inside.

It appeared to police as though the basil plants were loaded into a van.

A shoe print and possible tire tracks were found near the area of the plants.

It is unknown why anyone would steal the plants from the greenhouse.

Photographs of the tracks were placed into evidence.

Police have no other suspects or witnesses.


A student's laptop was stolen from his room in the Chi Phi fraternity house, 1104 E. Seventh St., Sunday night, reports stated.

The student left his room at 8 p.m. and when he returned 30 minutes later, his computer was gone.

The student suspects that the laptop was stolen by another student who lives in La Paz Residence Hall, reports stated.

The student said he met the La Paz resident two weeks ago and gave him unlimited access to his room and computer, reports stated.

Police confirmed that the student lived in La Paz.

The Chi Phi resident said he does not want to press charges, he only wants his computer returned undamaged.

Police told the student that if he had contact with the La Paz resident again to contact UAPD.


An employee of Fast Copy, in the Student Union Memorial Center, had an allergic reaction to seafood and her throat started to swell Friday afternoon, reports stated.

Police responded and treated her on scene. They examined her and all of her vital signs were normal.

The student denied transportation to a hospital and said she would stay at work because she was feeling better, reports stated.


An aluminum pole was stolen over the weekend from UA property at East Lowell Street and North Santa Rita Avenue, reports stated.

The pole was posted in the ground at the entrance to the parking lot at the intersection.

It had been sheared off when employees arrived at 8 a.m. on Monday, reports stated.

Tire marks near the entrance indicate that someone hit the pole while turning and drove through the aluminum barrier and skidded to a stop in the parking lot, reports stated.

The employee said he did not find the pole anywhere in the area.

Police photographed the tire marks and placed them into evidence. There are no suspects or witnesses.
