A man was arrested for theft and trespassing at the UA Main Library, 1510 E. University Blvd., Tuesday morning after the man called police and said his ex-girlfriend was stalking him, reports stated.
When police arrived around 9:30 a.m. the man told police his ex-girlfriend wouldn't stop following him around.
Police found the ex-girlfriend at a bus stop. The ex-girlfriend said she had not been following the man. She said the man was on medication.
Police told the ex-girlfriend to stay away from the man, reports stated.
Police ran a records check on the man and he had two warrants. Police then found two students' CatCards on the man.
The man said his ex-girlfriend took the CatCards from a copier machine.
Police could not find the ex-girlfriend to ask if this was true, reports stated.
The man was booked into Pima County Jail.
Police discovered the two students who the CatCards belonged to had already gotten new CatCards.
The CatCards were placed into evidence, reports stated.
Someone stole a student's $250 parking permit Tuesday night from her car while it was parked in a Zone 1 lot, 1325 N. Warren Ave., reports stated.
The student said she parked her car around 5:15 p.m. and returned 30 minutes later to find the permit gone.
The student said her car was unlocked.
She said there was no damage to the car and said nothing else was missing.
Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
A student was taken to University Medical Center Friday after her leg got caught in between two cars at Pi Kappa Phi, 1449 N. Cherry Ave., reports stated.
When police arrived a student said she was making a U-turn into the north entrance at the same time another student was backing her sport utility vehicle out of the lot.
The student who injured her leg was sitting in the back of the SUV with the hatch open. The student was trying to close the hatch when she slipped. Her leg was hanging out of the SUV when the two vehicles bumped into each other, pinning the student's leg.
No citations were issued, reports stated.
A student backed his sedan into another sedan Friday night in a Zone 1 lot, 1420 E. Seventh St., reports stated.
Around 11 p.m. police saw the student back into the sedan. There were several scratches on the left rear bumper. The other sedan's front left panel was cracked.
The student said he wanted to handle the issue civilly and gave police his contact information.
Right after the student left the owner of the sedan came and said she wanted the accident documented, reports stated.
A student's $500 mountain bike was reported to be missing sometime between Sept. 16 and Sept. 19 while parked at Babcock Residence Hall, 1717 E. Speedway Blvd., reports stated.
The student said he locked his bike with a cable lock around 9:30 p.m. Sept. 16 and returned around 7:30 a.m. Sept. 19 and the bike was gone.
The student said he found his cut cable lock on the ground.
Police have no suspects or witness, reports stated.
A man was booked into Pima County Jail for drinking in public the morning of Sept. 18 after police caught him drinking in an alley behind Phi Gamma Delta, 1801 E. First St., reports stated.
Police saw two men drinking around 2:10 a.m. They had a 12-pack of Corona. Police told the men to go somewhere else and poured out the beer.
About 30 minutes later police saw the two men standing with two women. They had a case of beer. One of the men and the two women were drinking.
Police arrested the man and gave the two women a warning because it was the first time they had seen them drinking in public, reports stated.
A student's bike tire was reported missing sometime between Sept. 16 and Sept. 17 from his bike while it was parked at Hopi Lodge Residence Hall, 1440 E. Fourth St., reports stated.
The student said he locked his bike with a U-Lock around 5 p.m. Sept. 16 and returned around 1 p.m. Sept. 17 to find the tire gone.
Police have no suspects or witnesses, reports stated.
